Brian Perri, DO, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Beverly Hills Spine Surgery in Los Angeles. Dr. Perri specializes in minimally invasive and motion preservation surgery for degenerative spinal diseases and reconstructive surgery for spinal tumors and spinal deformities. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa., and underwent combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Laura Wilson is the founder of Natural Pilates. Her passion for fitness started as a kid, but she pursued it in 2002 when she moved to USA. Starting with massage therapy, she study pilates under John Garey. The journey continued with yoga, GYROTONIC® and personal training. She completed MAT®, www.muscleactivationtechnique.com with Greg Roskops. In 2012 and RTS®, www.resistancetrainingspecialist.com with Tom Purvis.
Applications for spine health workshop will include an in depth anatomical understanding of the spine and its biomechanics. We have guest speaker Dr Brian Perri joining the workshop. Dr Brian Perri is one of LA most sort after spinal surgeons. Dr Perri will breakdown the most common spinal injuries in details. He will explain what to avoid and how to help patients recover and strengthen from injuries and surgeries. To finish off the workshop we will go into depth as to how to train a client that may have certain spinal dispositions. We will integrate Pilates and functional movement exercises to consolidate your understanding of what specific exercises would be suitable to strengthen your client correctly.
